“Y Bistro was conceived as a cozy place where you can come with the whole family, and everyone will be comfortable, interesting and delicious,” says designer Anastasia Efremova. — It is located on the first floor of the Stalin house, in a room that was originally intended for catering. Among its advantages were large arched windows and parquet, which we partially managed to preserve. Also, while clearing the walls, we found layers of different paint. It was applied one on top of the other for years, which gave a very interesting texture. It was preserved on the column dividing the main space.”

“The name Y Bistro refers to a question that children often ask — “why?The concept of the restaurant is designed to awaken in an adult his inner child through a relaxed atmosphere and gastronomic discoveries. The interior was supposed to be serious, but with notes of childlike spontaneity and lightness.”

“We painted all the walls white, creating a background on which furniture and decor items stand out. There are a lot of smooth lines in the interior — these are brick arches around the windows, oval mirrors on the walls, and a concrete “river” on the floor that complemented the parquet, and a logo at the entrance, which, by the way, I created right on the spot. But the most unusual item is the zigzag sofa. We can say that we started with him, and built everything else around him. Despite the fact that visitors sit close enough to each other on the sofa, it does not seem cramped at all — all thanks to the zigzag shape and the back with tall and lush plants. I myself always take a seat at a small round table right here and enjoy the mini jungle.”

“All the main colors of the interior were gathered on a panel depicting a closed sky. I saw him about a month before the start of this project and just fell in love. Fortunately, the opportunity to apply it did not take long to wait.”

“A prerequisite in the TOR was the presence of a children’s room. We wanted the children to really be interested in playing here, climbing and exploring. We tried to think through every detail, and implemented the project ourselves in our own workshop.”
