This apartment belongs to a designer. Alexander Mershiev embodied in the interior his vision of how to combine retro and modern solutions, used pieces of furniture from the mass market that are not recognizable after repainting, and restored vintage. One of the chairs found its second life in this apartment, although it had previously rested in a dumpster.

The main goal of the author of the project and the owner of this small apartment, Alexander Mershiyev, was to create a feeling of spacious space, fill it with light, bright solutions, and accommodate everything necessary for a comfortable life. “Home as a source of inspiration and new ideas. I wanted to bring a light feeling of a Soviet apartment in a new building through the shapes of objects and vintage furniture,” says Alexander. 

Layout 

The studio was rented by the developer without partitions, but they did not do any redevelopment. The walls were built according to the plan, the bathroom was separated from the developer, a partition was made between the room and the hallway to install a closet. 

The small room was divided into several zones. At the entrance, there is a linear kitchen set on the right. On the left is a dining table. The large window has a bedroom area with a double bed. The second window has a sitting area with two armchairs and a chest of drawers.
